The Real Secret to The Law of Attraction

“The universe likes speed. Don’t delay. Don’t second guess. Don’t doubt. When the opportunity is there, when the impulse is there, when the intuitive nudge from within is there, act. That’s your job. And that’s all you have to do.” — Dr. Joe Vitale

ProcrastinatorAs a result of the filmThe Secret, millions of people have become aware of the principle called the Law of Attraction, which explains the creative process through which the unseen world gives birth to the circumstances and events of our lives. Because of The Secret, thousands of people from around the world have emailed, written and called my office to share stories about how knowing and applying the Law of Attraction has changed their lives. These stories are sometimes astonishing, often quite moving, and the range and variety of circumstances involved is staggering.

You can begin to use the power of the unseen world to create your ideal life and business. But here is the part so many people seem to have missed: The Law of Attraction cannot work effectively unless you also follow the Law of Action. Unless you get off your butt and do something, it’s not realistic to expect that much will happen.

Knowing the law of attraction, I wanted to really put it to use and see what would happen so in 1995, I created a vision board. I put pictures of things I wanted to achieve and attract—like a car or a watch—up on this board. Every day I would sit in my office and I would look up at this board and I would start to visualize. I would really get into the state of already acquiring it.

After moving three times and ending up in California, I opened a box that included my vision boards. I cut open the box that had been packed away for five years, and on one vision board was a picture of a home I clipped from an old copy of Dream Homes magazine. When I cut it out of the magazine, I hadn’t known where it was located or how much it cost. But there was no mistaking it. It was a picture of the house I was sitting in at that very moment. Not a house like it. It was a unique house on six acres, with 188 windows, 320 orange trees, 2 lemon trees, and a slew of other special features. I actually bought my dream home, renovated it and didn’t even know it. I was blown away.

I finally understood the power of visualization. While it all starts with an idea and a crystal clear picture of what you want, you can’t just sit around visualizing and waiting for things to happen. If all you do is visualize, the men in the overalls with the big trucks will come take your furniture.

You have work to do.

Visualize and create a vision board. Write down your goals and then find images that match those goals. Use magazines and cut out the words and images that resonate with you. My book, The Complete Vision Board Kit comes with a DVD, sample vision board and tools to help you create a vision board that will positively change your life!

Feel the emotion. Act as if. Act as if you already possess the things pictured on your vision board—the house, the car, or your business. Say, “this” is already mine. State your goals in the present tense like you have already achieved them.

Repetition. Look at the images on your vision board over and over. Repetitiveness of vision combined with your associated emotions will develop your power to visualize and take action to achieve your goals.

The Quakers have an expression, “When you pray, move your feet.” Another expression goes like this: “If you’re going to be praying for potatoes, you better have a hoe ready.”

In a word—act.

The Answer for you: Massive action equals massive results.

The Power of Your Thoughts

“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”—Albert Einstein

Power of Your ThoughtsThoughts create everything. But here’s the problem. Most people spend their time thinking about what they don’t want, and they’re wondering why it shows up over and over again. In The Secret, we referred to this as the “don’t want” epidemic. When people think, speak, act and focus on what they don’t want, they keep it alive.

You can free yourself of this epidemic by thinking and speaking about what you do want. Your thoughts not only matter, they create matter. Thought is where everything comes from. And your thoughts are where your business comes from. Consciousness is what the universe is made of; matter and energy are just two of the forms that consciousness takes.

So, what am I saying here, that everything is made of thought? That thought creates the physical world? Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. In a nutshell, here is the conclusion so far of humanity’s epic quest to understand the world:

  1. Everything in the physical world is made out of atoms.
  2. Atoms are made out of energy.
  3. Energy is made out of consciousness.

If all of this seems difficult to grasp or accept, imagine what it must have seemed like to the people of Galileo’s time when they were asked to consider the proposition that the earth travels through space around the sun. Or the idea of a spherical earth to pre-Socratic philosophers. The truth is, we don’t see what is there. We see what we are prepared to see, what we are conditioned to see.

Once we know that everything is energy—that there is no absolute distinction between matter and energy—then the boundaries between the physical world and the world of our thoughts start to disappear as well.

You’ve heard the old expression, “I’ll believe it when I see it.” But that’s not really how it is. The truth is more like this: “You’ll see it when you believe it.”

When novelist Victor Hugo said, “There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come,” we now know that this was more than a metaphor. He may not have fully realized it at the time, but he was giving us a literal description of how reality works. Our thoughts are the controlling factor in what we manifest and create in our lives.

The idea precedes the thing.

In a very real, concrete sense, your beliefs don’t simply reflect your reality, they create your reality. This concept applies to the reality of massive success in business.

Listen to your thoughts. What are the dominant thoughts that run through your mind?

Review your thought list. Is it a list of “don’t wants” or wants? What thoughts do you need to change?

Replace your “don’t wants” with wants. When you find yourself thinking of things you don’t want to manifest in your life, interrupt those thoughts and replace them with thoughts about what you do want.

Start with a picture, an idea in your mind, and before you know it, you will be living it. This is at the heart of how my dream house showed up, as well as every business I have built. The same thing happens to every business person who has a vision and knows their thoughts have a direct, causal impact on reality.

Your thoughts and beliefs are the most powerful force in the universe. Make sure you are cognizant of yours.

The Answer for you: The secret to your success lies in controlling your thoughts.

Why You Should Be Aware of Quantum Physics

molecules
Nobel Prize winning physicists have proven beyond doubt that the physical world is one large sea of energy that flashes into and out of being in milliseconds, over and over again.

Nothing is solid.

This is the world of Quantum Physics.

They have proven that thoughts are what put together and hold together this ever-changing energy field into the ‘objects’ that we see.

So why do we see a person instead of a flashing cluster of energy?

Think of a movie reel.

A movie is a collection of about 24 frames a second. Each frame is separated by a gap. However, because of the speed at which one frame replaces another, our eyes get cheated into thinking that we see a continuous and moving picture.

Think of television.

A TV tube is simply a tube with heaps of electrons hitting the screen in a certain way, creating the illusion of form and motion.

This is what all objects are anyway. You have 5 physical senses (sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste).

Each of these senses has a specific spectrum (for example, a dog hears a different range of sound than you do; a snake sees a different spectrum of light than you do; and so on).

In other words, your set of senses perceives the sea of energy from a certain limited standpoint and makes up an image from that.
It is not complete, nor is it accurate. It is just an interpretation.

All of our interpretations are solely based on the ‘internal map’ of reality that we have, and not the real truth. Our ‘map’ is a result of our personal life’s collective experiences.

Our thoughts are linked to this invisible energy and they determine what the energy forms. Your thoughts literally shift the universe on a particle-by-particle basis to create your physical life.

Look around you.

Everything you see in our physical world started as an idea, an idea that grew as it was shared and expressed, until it grew enough into a physical object through a  number of steps.

You literally become what you think about most.

Your life becomes what you have imagined and believed in most.

The world is literally your mirror, enabling you to experience in the physical plane what you hold as your truth … until you change it.

Quantum physics shows us that the world is not the hard and unchangeable thing it may appear to be. Instead, it is a very fluid place continuously built up using our individual and collective thoughts.

What we think is true is really an illusion, almost like a magic trick.

Fortunately we have begun to uncover the illusion and most importantly, how to change it.

What is your body made of?

Nine systems comprise the human body including Circulatory, Digestive, Endocrine, Muscular, Nervous, Reproductive, Respiratory, Skeletal, and Urinary.

What are those made up of?

Tissues and organs.

What are tissues and organs made of?

Cells.

What are cells made of?

Molecules.

What are molecules made of?

Atoms.

What are atoms made of?

Sub-atomic particles.

What are subatomic particles made of?

Energy!

You and I are pure energy-light in its most beautiful and intelligent configuration. Energy that is constantly changing beneath the surface and you control it all with your powerful mind.

You are one big stellar and powerful Human Being.

If you could see yourself under a powerful electron microscope and conduct other experiments on yourself, you would see that you are made up of a cluster of ever-changing energy in the form of electrons, neutrons, photons and so on.

So is everything else around you. Quantum physics tells us that it is the act of observing an object that causes it to be there where and how we observe it.

An object does not exist independently of its observer! So, as you can see, your observation, your attention to something, and your intention, literally creates that thing.

This is scientific and proven.

Your world is made of spirit, mind and body.

Each of those three, spirit, mind and body, has a function that is unique to it and not shared with the other. What you see with your eyes and experience with your body is the physical world, which we shall call Body. Body is an effect, created by a cause.

This cause is Thought.

Body cannot create. It can only experience and be experienced … that is its unique function.

Thought cannot experience … it can only make up, create and interpret. It needs a world of relativity (the physical world, Body) to experience itself.

Spirit is All That Is, that which gives Life to Thought and Body.

Body has no power to create, although it gives the illusion of power to do so. This illusion is the cause of much frustration. Body is purely an effect and has no power to cause or create.

The key with all of this information is how do you learn to see the universe differently than you do now so that you can manifest everything you truly desire.

Do you know "How to" Meditate?

Meditation is one of the best ways to help you achieve mastering the universal laws of attraction so you bring more abundance into your life. However, sometimes it doesn’t always seem that simple. For example, asking someone, “how do you meditate?” is like asking someone “how do you get to Carnegie Hall?”

There are many, many different ways to achieve the same purpose — all of which become easier with practice. Here I will briefly discuss some of the most common meditation techniques you can use to attract abundance, stop procrastinating, etc. Try them all and figure out what works best for you.

How to Meditate

Learning How To Meditate

If you really want to benefit as much as possible from the self help healing that meditation can bring into your life, there are a few things to keep in mind. The most important element of any meditation style is breathing. You will breathe in slowly and deeply through your nose, hold it for just an instant at the pinnacle, then as slowly as possible release the breath out your mouth, compressing your stomach down to push the air out of your chest cavity.

Another key element to any type of meditation is focus – similar to the overall focus we must achieve to utilize the universal law of attraction in our lives. Naturally our minds only hold thoughts for a second or two and then they move on, which of course means we are easily distracted. Meditation is only effective when we can provide our own self help and block out our mental fluttering. This is definitely a learned skill that gets easier with practice.

A few more meditation tips I can pass along are to make it a routine. Set aside a certain time each day to meditate, like before or after reviewing your vision boards. Stop procrastinating and put it on your schedule if you have to. Have a quiet, comfortable place to sit. Remove any distractions from the area (such as silencing your cell phone and putting your dog in the backyard). Sometimes it’s nice to have a CD playing with relaxing music or nature sounds. This can trigger to your brain that it’s time to get in meditation mode.

As far as specific meditation techniques, I recommend these four: the stillness, the flow, the centering, and the void.

Let me quickly explain the techniques:

THE STILLNESS: This popular technique involves focusing your vision on a single point until you get the infamous blank stare (or if your eyes are closed, a sort of internal space out). You might stare at a spot on a wall, a candle flame, or a religious or spiritual object. You can also focus on something auditory like chanting or a bell chime.

THE FLOW: This meditation technique is very much like the one listed above except that you will focus on an object in motion—such as a water fall, your own breathing, or something auditory like drumming.

THE CENTERING: This technique takes many different forms but ultimately aims to heighten your awareness of your place in the world. Centering meditation can be either outer (real) or inner (imagined) but the intent is to anchor your perspective in the center of a vivid image in which even the smallest detail is noted. With this technique, you will get into your meditation space then allow yourself to let in an outside noise or thought. This can be a great technique for beginners because of this (if you find it hard to quiet your mind and concentrate). By responding to “distractions” by absorbing yourself in them and therefore dismantling them, you take their power away.

THE VOID: This technique is sort of the antithesis of the three listed above. Like the name suggests, here you will think about nothing. You will have no focal point. You could think of focusing on “the blankness” or “the stillness,” but nevertheless the void meditation is about the complete absence of any internal or external focus. It can be quite challenging but very rewarding and relaxing.

Good luck with whichever technique you decide to practice!

How Can Affirmations Transform Your Life?

Affirmations are so simple and yet so effective, especially when it comes to the law of attraction. An affirmation is a statement, often repeated in our heads. That’s it. There isn’t much concentration or focus required. The affirmation’s power, however, lies in its ability to re-shape our thinking and perspective drastically and quickly, similar to what happens when you learn how to visualize.

Here are 4 ways affirmations can help you:

1. Affirmations quiet our ego’s mental chatter

One of the biggest stumbling blocks to many of the difficulties and complexities we face is mental chatter. It is this constant stream of thinking and ideas that distracts us from being able to focus on what we want, whether it’s stillness and serenity or a specific goal. Mental chatter is the voice in the head that screams, “I can’t do it! I can’t do it!” or “I’m ugly. I’m fat.” Affirmations soothe this wailing like brain entrainment for adults and like a pacifier for a baby. In moments of fear, panic, or anxiety, repeating to yourself, “I can do this! I can do this!” or, “I am beautiful. I am attractive,” is incredibly powerful at helping you do an emotional 180. It doesn’t take constant coaching and mentoring; all the power to change is right inside you waiting to be utilized.

2. Affirmations can begin to transform our thinking instantaneously

When we focus on “I can do this,” instead of nerves and jitters, we have immediately taken control of our lives and ourselves. When we are in control, we immediately feel at ease. Sigh! When we feel powerless, our fears and worries tend to spiral out of control. Instead of focusing on the fear and bringing more of that into our reality based on the law of attraction, saying affirmations gives us a new focus. It is the same concept as women doing deep breathing when they are giving birth — it gives them something else to focus on rather than the physical pain they are feeling.  A slight change in focus can and does make a world of difference. This tiny little mental trick is a powerful one like knowing how to visualize is.

3. Affirmations put us in the driver’s seat

Affirmations can transform our lives (no need for constant coaching and mentoring anymore for you) by giving us a sense of power and control. Often it doesn’t take much to remind us of how powerful we are. Simply saying, “I am calm. I am cool. I am collected,” before a job interview can take us from nervous to confident in no time.

4. Affirmations can be effective when change is most difficult

True change comes in this manner: first our thoughts, then our words, then our deeds. First we get an idea like, “I’m tired of being overweight.” This gains momentum and turns into saying things like, “I am going to go to the gym 3 times this week.”

What follows? Three trips to the gym.

The problem arises when our thoughts still want to be couch potatoes. Stating affirmations like, “I go regularly to the gym. I exercise. I workout,” can shape our reluctant thinking. When change seems hardest, that is a sign that one needs to be using affirmations constantly to help change their lagging thinking. As you know, if you hear something often enough, you will start to believe it.

The Winning Lottery Ticket

In a recent lottery, the lottery being one of the quickest ways for how to become a millionaire, a West Virginia man won $317 million in the Powerball lottery. Now, did you know that the odds of winning this lottery are just over 120 million: 1?

Yes, those are pretty steep odds. However, winning the lottery is really a piece of cake in comparison to the odds of you being born again. When your parents decided to stop procrastinating, you become the product of 23 chromosomes from your mother and 23 chromosomes from your father.

Geneticists have determined that the odds of your parents having another child just like you are 10 to the 2 billionth powers: 1. Is doesn’t take any special coaching or mentoring to know right away these odds are astronomical.

It would take you 75 years working day and night just to write out this number by hand.

With all of that said, it sometimes makes me wonder why so many people are focused on how to become a millionaire. Instead, we should focus on being the best person we can be, we should stop procrastinating, and we should go out to leave a positive and lasting impression for someone or something.

The bottom line is that there will never be another you. You are one-of-a-kind.

Act like yourself. Be yourself. And live the life only you were meant to live.

Tip: Record an audio of your visualization

Hi friends,

As you already know (and have posted comments about), making a recording of yourself talking about your new belief, then listening to that audio twice or more a day can be extremely beneficial. This method of reprogramming is effective for all kinds of beliefs, ranging from health to wealth, from business success to charitable contribution, from relationships to spirituality, from productivity to creativity. Your main time investment will be up front in making the recording, which can be as simple (just your recorded voice) or as elaborate (including music, sound effects, and so on), as short (just five minutes) or as long (half an hour) as you like. After your recording is complete, you can listen to it while driving, as you go to sleep, as your “alarm” to wake you up in the morning. Be creative!

Creating a recording can help you reach your goals. To write the script…

1) Imagine what your life will be like as a result of achieving your goal, and
2) Describe it all in the present tense, as if it’s already happening.

A script to be used for the goal of running a half marathon might start like this:

I love how it feels to run because my body is in such great condition. I can feel my heart working, and my breath is strong and even. My quadriceps and calves are tested but don’t burn out. I am a healthy, vibrant person who respects the body as the amazing vessel it is: home to my soul. I am in the zone and running better than I ever have before. I am getting faster and stronger every day…

As you reprogram yourself and listen to your audio, you can also add other visualization techniques have learned. Top athletes visualize religiously, because they know it unlocks potential at a level that analysis and even physical practice don’t reach. By repeatedly visualizing the outcome you want, you create new cells of recognition in your subconscious. This way, your body gets used to that behavior and then expects it. To use your recording to help you visualize, instead of just listening passively to the recording, close your eyes and picture everything happening exactly as you hear yourself describe it. (Not a good idea while running or driving, but you can do this at other times.) It’s as if you’ve created a “movie” you can play over and over in your mind. Try it!

Bombard Your Subconscious

I once heard from someone who I would consider quite an impressive motivational speaker, “if you were a computer programmer and the program you created did not work like you wanted it to, what would you do? You would rewrite it, correct?”

Well, your own “programs” should be and really are no different. Through visualizations and a better understanding of what is the law of attraction, you have already identified the areas you need to change and created a plan to change them. Now all you need to do is rewrite that program. How? By bombarding your subconscious.

You already know how to implant new beliefs and so you should be integrating at least one new belief right now. What method of “reprogramming” are you currently using?

Do you write your new beliefs down on paper? Do you look at a collage and/or vision boards? Do you listen to a tape? Have you added visualization to your routine, seeing yourself living the life of your dreams? No matter which method you choose, you are bombarding your subconscious with that new belief, and it will have no choice but to give in and accept it as part of its reality.

What’s my personal visualization process?

I used to have a little recorder and I would tape myself saying my new belief and play it over and over. Then I would write out my new belief and read it over and over. And then finally I visualize that I am already there.

Basically, I am going to my computer hardware (my subconscious) and I’m taking out the old disk (belief) and putting in the new disk (belief), and so it replaces the old one. I just keep seeing this over and over again. I visualize that all the programs in my head are disks.

And soon I get to the point where that image is in my head all the time, now it has become a habit. And this is perfect because your subconscious rests as much as your heart or your blood… which is never!

The methods I use change, like visualizations or vision boards, tapes or pen and paper, etc., because I am constantly changing. If I feel a method is not working for me any more, I change it. There are plenty of methods to choose from!

Like a motivational speaker should be able to see when his audience is no longer engaged, so too must you be able to see when your own sub conscious is no longer engaged. When you see that happen, it’s time to change methods.

If you really want to jump start your visualization and goal achieving process, then I highly encourage you to check out my FREE guide below.
