The One Major Key for Achieving Outstanding Results

Sometimes it seems as if people were born without instruction manuals and yet are forever trying to figure out how all the pieces fit together on the fly. But the truth is, 20 years of research in the field of human potential and performance shows the amazing abilities that every person has and how each person taps into them. In fact, one of the greatest discoveries ever is how the subconscious mind gets programmed and how it controls almost everything people do.

I’d first like to explain one simple idea that I know will open your mind to actually understanding your true potential. First and foremost, understand that the intelligence that created you made no errors in his creation. We are pure intelligent energy with amazing capabilities.

For the purpose of this report, I am going to focus on one of the most important pieces of information you will ever read.

Your subconscious mind has three very distinct responsibilities, and the one we will deal with today is called your ‘psycho-cybernetic mechanism.’ This single piece of information can, and will drastically change your life if you totally understand it and use it! Read the entire explanation, and then get ready to see amazing results in your life.

A cybernetic mechanism is simply how a system operates automatically. One such system is our brain and nervous system. This is called a psycho-cybernetic mechanism. Another cybernetic system can be mechanical, such as how your home-heating and air-conditioning system works.

As an example of how a ‘cybernetic’ mechanism works, I want you to think of the thermostat in your home that you have set at 70 degrees. Now, let’s say that someone opens a window in the house and heat comes in. The control center (the brain) of the thermostat picks up a deviation from the ‘set’ program (being 70 degrees) and automatically sends a message through the electrical system to the furnace that the air conditioning should be turned on. This happens in a nanosecond, and the air conditioning kicks in until the temperature reaches the original set program on the thermostat that you or someone else originally set.

Sounds pretty simple right?

Let’s get to the fun part…

As children, we are programmed and conditioned to have beliefs in each area of our life. All of your beliefs about your potential in each and every area of your life were instilled in you by your parents, teachers, caregivers, through the books you read and the experiences you had.

All of our ‘mental programs’ are housed in our subconscious mind and operate automatically just like the ‘set temperature’ in the furnace story.

Our teachers instilled in us the best information they knew and had at the time. Through repetition and study a ‘mental program’ is created in your subconscious mind. The mental programs that each of us have are not good or bad, they just are (some serve us better than others). Once they are embedded in your subconscious mind, they operate automatically exactly like the set temperature on the thermostat.

So, here’s an example of how this marvelous system works in us:

Let’s say that your internal mental image or current self image for your body weight is 195 lbs. This weight is maintained automatically by your subconscious mind. You will eat and do everything that is in exact accordance with that mental image and set program.

Now, one day you consciously decide that you want to lose weight and you go on a diet. You use your will power to eat differently and you may even start to exercise. Sounds good right? It works for a while and then what happens?

The majority of people gain all their weight back within a very short period of time. Some even gain more!

Here’s why…

No different than the thermostat on the wall, your ‘brain’ senses a deviation from the existing self-image or set ‘internal program’ for your weight and does everything it can and must do, to keep you at the weight that is programmed in the subconscious mind.

It is just doing its job, and this all happens just as fast as in the example with the furnace. Your nervous system operates at lightning speeds. Unless you change the image on the inside first, the outside will never reflect the new weight for very long.

Your subconscious is your power source. Most people use their conscious mind to try and lose weight and they are for the most part, just wasting their time.

God created a perfect system, but didn’t give our parents or us the instruction manuals to operate them perfectly. And you can be certain that you and I operate perfectly.

Your body and brain are the most sophisticated pieces of equipment known to man. And it’s your sole responsibility to understand how to use them to maximize their potential. If you don’t because you are lazy or uninterested, you will succumb to settling for much less than you are truly capable of.

It is your job to understand exactly how all of your internal mental and external systems work. You can learn more about how to take charge from my FREE guide below. Not knowing exactly how you really function at every level limits your potential and your results.

Here’s another example…

Let’s say you want to double your financial intake and you do not re-program your subconscious mind. You may have a great month and make a lot more money than in any other month before. As soon as you start to produce better results than you have in the past, your ‘cybernetic’ mechanism will pick up a deviation from the existing financial ‘self-image’ and you will automatically revert back to behaving in total sync with the current internal image you have in your subconscious mind.

You will start to do everything possible to keep consistent with the old self-image without even being aware of it – except, now you are!

If you want to learn how to reset your ‘internal programs’ to achieve greater results than ever before, pick up my book and go through the step-by-step plan I used to reset my own mental programs to achieve amazing results in my own life.

Here’s some more food for thought…

Think of some of the extreme groups in our society that believe in order for them to have peace or go to heaven, everyone else except those who believe their ways, must die. Their beliefs are not ‘wrong,’ their beliefs are just what they have been taught and programmed to believe. Their beliefs are survival mechanisms that have been instilled in them at a subconscious level for centuries.

If you believed, rightly or not, that your survival was on the line…what would you do? What would you teach your children about that ‘perceived’ threat?

Begin to understand that you have unlimited potential and that your ‘old conditioning’ or set programs automatically control the thoughts, behaviors and actions that are in harmony with that belief.

As soon as an idea presents itself that is foreign to your nervous system you automatically begin to rationalize or tell yourself ‘rational-lies’ on why you can’t make more money, share land with someone, get a promotion or lose the weight you want. This happens so fast it requires no thought on your part.

There is an incredible force and intelligent energy at work that we cannot see; yet it is part of us and is everywhere. All we have to do is to learn about all of our true physical and mental abilities and the question of our potential suddenly takes on a new meaning.

You have probably heard that we as humans only use about seven to 10 percent of our potential.

With that in mind, may I suggest that you stop doubting your potential and limits, and start questioning where the doubts and fears that are holding you back came from and then begin to eliminate them!

What is Optimum Performance?

What is optimum performance? This question raises different responses from different people. It causes people to ponder issues like:

  • How much better you could be doing in your business?
  • How about your career?
  • What about your relationship with someone you love?
  • How about the state of your health right now?

One or more of these areas most often needs a little more attention in day-to-day life. But there seems to be so much to do, so much to accomplish if ‘more’ is the focus.

Here’s a secret: the quest for more is a trap. It never stops. But the positive side is this: Optimum performance is about playing life at the highest possible level, reaching our fullest potential.

Now the question is: if people are so full of potential, though, why are most not living up to their potential in every area of life? For some very good reasons that make perfect sense, take a look at desire, passion and fun.

Do you remember when you were a kid and all you wanted to do was play? What was one thing you loved to do that you could do for hours and never want to stop? Then ask yourself why.

For most, it was probably because it was fun and exciting, and you felt good doing it. It made you happy and you never wanted to stop doing it until you dropped.

Of course, who couldn’t get hurt running, playing and challenging life once in awhile? But the reward of having fun, feeling free and the sense of accomplishment was worth the price. Youth are born natural risk takers.

But later on what happens? And why is it relevant to optimum performance?

Well, part of the reason you enjoyed what you did was the ‘positive feedback’ you received from others. The other more important part is because it was what you wanted to do. It didn’t really matter how ‘good’ you were. The ‘how good’ was secondary to just having fun.

It was the times you chose to do what you wanted that was the most fun and exhilarating. It wasn’t when someone else said you needed to do or should do something.

Optimum performance can only truly be achieved when ‘all of you’ is in the game. And life is just a game. You loved playing as a kid and it’s time to start playing again.

Just going through the motions in your relationship is so mediocre and not fun. Working in a job or career that you tolerate is not fun. Not earning the income you want is not fun. Not having the energy or health you want is not fun.

What’s NOT FUN in your life right now?

So the real question you are now faced with is this… do you want to have fun again? Do you want to play?

How great would the results be in each area of your life if it were fun again? Well it can be…and will be!

Do not confuse having fun with not putting in effort. You will achieve results in every area of your life in direct proportion to the effectiveness of the effort you put in, not the effort. Do not confuse activity with results.

In the coming months my focus will be to help you think about why you are getting the current results in your life right now and how to significantly enjoy yourself more, so that the results are the by-product of having fun and doing what you love and want to do.

The game of life is about choosing what you really want. The real trick in having more is in becoming more and having fun. It is natural to grow and become more, when we do what we love and what we want.

Optimum performance is about doing the ‘right things’ really well.

How Magnificent Are You?

There’s an “intelligence” that manages the 100 million species of life on our little blue planet. Some people call it God, some call it Buddha, some Allah. It doesn’t really matter what you choose to call it; the only thing that really matters is that you understand that it’s the same intelligence that gives you life.

This intelligence automatically causes your heart to beat 86,400 times a day, creates 10 million new cells each second as 10 million die off, and causes your food to be digested while 10,000 trillion cellular actions occur in your body every second. It’s the intelligence that sustains perfect order and harmony in nature without a hiccup. You are a miracle and a genius capable of incredible accomplishments because the intelligence that created you is within YOU.

At your very essence, you are a spiritual being who has been blessed with intellectual functions. You also happen to have a body. If you’re like most people, you’ve been playing very small until now, by only using a fraction of your mental abilities coupled with your limited physical abilities. It’s time for you to believe and act like the spiritual power that you truly are and stop relying on the lower abilities that you think are your power centers. Now is the time for you to realize that you can create whatever you choose. However, you’re not alone in the process—the intelligence that manages everything in perfect harmony and order is all knowing and omnipresent. You must assume your role while trusting its brilliance.

The latest research in quantum physics shows that when you put your attention on what you want, it immediately starts to manifest into physical form. In other words, as you patiently hold onto an image (your seed) on the screen of your mind and emotionalize it, the universal intelligence starts to materialize it in physical form.

Your job as co-creator is to dream big dreams and to have absolute faith that the intelligence is doing the same with you. You must abolish your lack of faith and patience and trust that as you do the right “physical” things while having total focus, the universe will be your biggest ally and provide you with exactly what you need, when you need it.

Application of Knowledge

Take the following actions and all your dreams will become reality:

1. Get absolutely crystal clear on your vision/goals. Since you are dealing with a precision model, you must be absolutely precise in what you want to achieve.

2. By yourself or with the help of a friend or family member, create as detailed a plan as you can of what you will do now to move you toward your goals. Start by creating a plan for the next 30, 60, or 90 days.

3. Every day, focus on having already achieved your goals by visualizing being there already.

4. Focus this week on this statement of fact about yourself: “I am a spiritual being with limitless potential and I take action daily toward my goals and dreams. Abundance is my birthright.”

All the best,

Time Off

I get asked a lot about time off and how I manage to take so much of it to play.

Many years ago one of my mentors taught me that the human body is like a multi-billion dollar racehorse. If you owned that horse, how much time off would you give it in between races?

The answer seems simple enough, but somehow we get caught up in the stress of day-to-day life and we forget to rest. And I mean really rest!

I know that putting in 18-hour days is not uncommon for me because I love what I do. I am sure that you also just go, go, go… all the time between work, parenting, friends, exercise, problems, etc.

One of the best practices that I took on many years ago is what I call my six weeks on, one week off routines. Here’s how it goes… I play full out for six weeks, then full off for one week.

This gives me the chance to really unwind and do zip, nada, nothing. I get a chance to totally rejuvenate, and what I’ve found is that I am so ready to get back to creation once I am truly rested, that I am ten times more productive.

I used to feel that if “I just push a little longer, I’ll get more done”, but the truth is that the quality of my work was not up to my highest standard.

As a matter of fact, I’ve been working seven days a week now for weeks, preparing for my TV and radio tour and I’m feeling very overwhelmed with the loads of stuff that need to get done.

So guess what I’m going to do right now? I’m going to go to the gym and NOT think about all that I have to do and I’m going to give myself a mental break even though I have piles of “stuff” that have to get done.

I’m going to get out of the “I’m supposed to do this now” thinking and give myself a mental break.

What is your release mechanism and plan for rejuvenating your body and soul?

We all need to take care of ourselves. And creating a regular system is the best way to refresh ourselves.

I’ve also gotten into the habit of having a two-hour massage once a week, and it allows me to have someone “do” for me instead of me always being the one who “does”.

Choose an activity or ritual and create a plan that allows you to really get the physical and mental rest you need. You’ll find that you’ll reduce stress and be much more productive than ever before!

And while you’re at it, remember to create a great day!
